The IFUW Board of Officers and the Local Arrangements Committee (LAC) of the Türk Universiteli Kadinlar Dernegi (TUKD) are planning the Conference jointly.
Dates and Location
The Conference will be held from 16-21 August 2013 at the Kadir Has University (KHU). KHU was founded in 1997, in Istanbul and is dedicated to becoming a leader in educational and cultural fields in Turkey, as well as establishing itself as an international centre for research and scientific development. It is located in one of Istanbul’s oldest neighbourhoods, Cibali, which is surrounded by ancient Byzantine walls that distinguish and define the area, and is only a few metres away from the Haliç, the harbour inlet known to English speakers since Ottoman times as the Golden Horn’. Business and plenary sessions and theme days, which will include panel sessions, seminars and workshops and which will be open to non-members as well as members, will all be on‐site.
The 92nd IFUW Council will meet on 16 August 2013 and the 93rd Council will meet on 21 August 2013. The special training programme will have a full day session on 15 August with parallel sessions during the Conference and a final half-day session on 21 August.
