A century in golf: The Istanbul Golf Club is the fourth oldest golf club in Europe. It was first opened in 1895 as the Constantinople Golf Club around Okmeydanę district featuring 12 holes. Later in 1911 the name and the location changed and the Bosphorous Golf Club in Bebek with its nine-hole course was opened until 1920. The club moved to Maslak the same year, taking its old name as the Constantinople with its 60 members. The Golf Club opened with 8 holes, expanded the course to 18 holes. Today the Istanbul Golf Club at the same location with its 9-hole course, is among the leading golf clubs in Turkey contributing to the spreading of golf in the country after 108 years.
With 460 members, 138 of whom are women, the Istanbul Golf Club stands like a solid stronghold proud with its committed golfers. |

The Club House
A new section in the social facilities at the Istanbul Golf Club has been recently opened. The Club House offers a cosy atmosphere for golfers to come together. The restaurant has a variety of special menus and has an overview of the course from its terrace and is a refuge on winter days with its fireplace and television.

Kemer Golf & Country Club is around 30 minutes from the city center, as you go towards the Belgrade Forest.
It was opened to play in 1995 and is the most prestigious country club in Istanbul.

The 18 hole course is 6,300 meters in length and plays to a par of 73.
Internationally famous courses designer Joan Dudok Van Heel designed layout is set on the undulated hills of the Belgrad Forest.
It is a championship course of unusual magnificence and offers and enjoyable challenge. It moves across the hilly forests of Kemer, characterized by verdant green fairways and aesthetically designed bunkers between the streams and the lakes to add to the difficulty of the course.
The course is most often described as "Short, but tight" as the slender spaces of fairway offer a fascinating challenge especially on tee shots. It can be demanding for golfers of all handicaps.
